Design Services
We offer Permaculture Design services in Licking County OH and surrounding areas (within an hour drive). Outside of our area, we can provide virtual consultations. These services are based on your particular vision, need, and budget.
While we do not assist with the installation of your project, we will provide you with guidance so you can implement your vision yourself! Whether it’s giving you step by step instruction, or coming on site to make sure everything is proceeding as planned - we want to make sure your dreams will come true at the best value for your dollar.
While we do specialize and focus on native plants, we also understand that it is near impossible to be 100% compliant to using strictly native plants. That’s why (outside of food gardens) we like to start with an 80/20 ratio of native to non-native plants - and avoiding invasive species entirely. If you’re interested in nicely manicured HOA and zoning approved landscaping, don’t run away just yet! We specialize in create beautiful pollinator gardens for even the strictest rules and regulations.
Whether you want a wild food forest, or simply a small medicinal herb garden; whether you have a $100 budget or $10,000 we will be able to meet you where you are at and help you bring your vision to life.
Permaculture Design
We can design your home garden from as small as an urban lot, up to a full edible yard and food forest and everything in between. We can help put your vision on paper whether you just want to have an aesthetic pollinator garden in your front yard, implement a market garden to earn some dollars, or turn your property into a self-sufficient haven.
The fee for this option varies depending on your budget and vision. I provide a free initial consultation where we discuss your ideas, budget for implementation, and timeline. After this you will receive an estimate for a full design ($50/hour).
Homestead Design
Did you buy some land and are in the ‘now what?’ phase? Are you looking into transforming your traditional farm into a regenerative and sustainable homestead?
We can help you develop your plan. Taking into account your landscape, microclimates, and needs - we can create a comprehensive blueprint to allow you to fulfill your dreams.
This consultation can be either a one time session or an ongoing partnership. We can talk garden design so you can feed your family, foraging, orchards, chickens, even goats and pigs!
We will start on your property and walk the land, discussing all the important things - water, soil, sun, and plants. From there, we will sit down and organize an implementation timeline and budget. This will allow you a realistic goal for your vision and needs.
Kitchen Garden Designs
No, not a garden in your kitchen. A garden FOR your kitchen. This option is for those that just want a small kitchen garden. This is great for beginners who don’t want to feel overwhelmed. We will help you design a small but functional kitchen garden full of annuals, perennials, leafy greens, root vegetables, and herbs.
You will receive your design in booklet format - divided into seasons and will receive information on how much to grow, when to plant, whether to start from seed or baby plants, and what to plant where depending on your location and needs.
